Currently Reading: A Court of Mist and Fury (Reread)

There’s something about returning to a story you already love—especially one that left a mark the first time around.

I’ve started rereading A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas, and somehow, it feels even more immersive the second time. Knowing what’s coming doesn’t take away from the experience—in fact, it deepens it. The emotions feel heavier, the quiet moments feel more significant, and the character dynamics stand out in ways they didn’t before.

This is the kind of book that pulls you in completely. One chapter turns into five, and suddenly you’ve lost track of time, fully wrapped up in the world and everything unfolding within it.

Rereading also brings a different kind of appreciation. There’s no rush to get to the end—you can sit with the story, notice the details, and really take in the atmosphere. It becomes less about what happens next and more about how it feels to be there.

And of course, no rereading session feels complete without a cozy setup. A warm drink nearby, a quiet moment carved out of the day, and a book that makes everything else fade into the background—it’s a small ritual, but it turns reading into something more intentional.

If you’ve been thinking about revisiting this series, especially with new releases on the horizon, I’d highly recommend it. Some stories are meant to be experienced more than once.

What are you currently reading—or rereading?
